Russian food retailer X5 Retail Group has reported that revenues increased by 23.1 per cent in its third quarter.
The group has released its preliminary consolidated net retail sales and operational results for the quarter and first nine months of 2014. The largest contribution to the strong quarterly performance came from discounter banner Perekrestok.
Meanwhile, the Central Federal District was the leading region in terms of perfomance.
The welcome trading results of nine months were driven by factors such as enlarged trading space and increased number of purchases, improved average ticket and consumer baskets, efficient promotional and marketing campaigns and rotation range in Perekrestok, and a higher level of logistics services and availability of goods on the shelves.
