Rewe Job Site Ranked Highest Among German Grocery Retailers

The careers website of the German retail group Rewe was the best-ranked among grocery retailers in a new study by Potentialpark.

The retail group’s online presence came in at 13th place for its careers website out of 141 German employers and DAX 30 companies, while coming in at 23rd place overall.

The websites were ranked according to their content, design, interactivity and how well they target a young audience.

In this year’s Potentialpark study, the Swedish research company examined the digital communication of the participants and analysed the results of a survey of 2,571 students on their job search and application expectations and experiences.

The sites were judged along the following parameters: how clear and informative are the sites? Can the candidate easily figure out what interests them about the company, the career opportunities and requirements? How does the company present itself to young talent and what does it offer prospective candidates? How up to date is the site and what kind of contact and interaction options are available?

Credible Source

The survey shows that the career website is the most credible source of information about an employer at 23%, followed by family and friends at 16%, and professional networks at 14%.

Rewe Group said it constantly optimises its website in terms of user-friendliness, rapid content retrieval and accessibility. This not only benefits journalists and stakeholders, but also users who are interested in the Rewe Group as an employer, the company said.
