Spain's Huercasa To Open Production Facility In Romania

Spanish ready-to-eat vegetable producer Huercasa has announced the opening of a new production facility in Romania, which will supply products to its central and Eastern Europe operations.

Diario de Valladolid reported that the new facility is being developed in Calarasi, in the Valaquia region, at a cost of €3 million.

The investment will see around 50 jobs created. Huercasa has said that the new facility will focus largely on the production of organic products.

Huercasa closed the 2018 financial year with a turnover of €40 million, which represents an increase of approximately 7%. The company aims to grow its turnover to €60 million by 2025, largely through increased organic product sales.
