Russia's O'Key Group Opens 74th Hypermarket

Russian retailer the O'Key Group has announced the opening of a new hypermarket in St. Petersburg, its 74th hypermarket in Russia and 162nd group store.

The 2,700 metre-square hypermarket is located in the River House business block in the city centre for utmost convenience, the company said.

It offers novelties such as the 'Fresh' area arranged in an open market concept, a self-serve salad bar and a 'Farmer's Corner', with daily fresh dairy products from the Leningrad region.

The store also features six self check-out tills.

Heigo Kera, the chairman and CEO of the group, commented: "We are pleased to invite our St. Petersburg customers to the new hypermarket featuring our new concept of the 'compact urban hypermarket', where we offer a big choice of fresh produce, including farm products, and an extended range of our own [private label] items."
