Turkish discounter BIM has reported a boost in both sales and profit for the second quarter. Net profits increased by 11.1 per cent to TRY69.1 million, with sales growth of over 21 per cent.
Like-for-like sales growth for the quarter was 11.8 per cent. The grocery retailer reported half year earnings of TRY159.9 million, a jump of 12.6 per cent, with sales up 25.4 per cent to TRY4.78 billion.
BIM has 3,527 stores in its native Turkey, with 95 branches in Morocco. (16 Aug)
