Spar Austria has launched a new range of organic iced teas in all Spar, Eurospar and Interspar stores, under the 'Spar Enjoy' private label brand.
The tea will be available in three flavours - turmeric & ginger, rooibos & herbs, and barley grass & spearmint. The retailer says that the product has a unique taste, due to the unusual combinations of ingredients.
The new product is produced in a small factory in Upper Austria, which focuses on the quality of raw materials, as well as sourcing fair trade ingredients.
Spar has also worked on reducing sugar content in the beverage, to preserve the natural quality of the flavours. As a result, the organic iced tea contains only 5.5 grams of organic cane sugar per 100 millilitres.
The product is sold in 330-millilitre glass bottles, which the retailer says is a sustainable packaging solution.
