After an extensive reconstruction, Spar Austria has reopened its store in Eggersdorf, near Graz. The store reopened at the beginning of June.
Special focus was placed on the design of the delicatessen department in the store, which forms the supermarket’s new core. Instead of a continuous counter, smaller units are meant to create a market-like atmosphere.

“We wanted to create a pleasant, open space that invites customers to enjoy the fresh products”, said Christoph Holzer, managing director at Spar, explaining the concept behind the new supermarket.
“We don’t just want to offer competent advice and a variety of fresh products, but make shopping an experience."
This is the first time that this new store design has been implemented to a Spar Austria outlet.
