Spar UK Introduces Water Bottles Made Of 51% Recycled Plastic

Spar UK has introduced water bottles made of 51% recycled plastic for its Silverbrook Water range.

The retailer has also designed a new label for the still- and sparkling-water range, reflecting a fresh and contemporary look and highlighting the recycled plastic content.

'Environmentally Responsible Retailer'

The head of brand at Spar UK, Cath McIlwham, said, “As ethical and environmental concerns are growing, using recycled material not only reassures our customers, but also demonstrates how committed we are to being an environmentally responsible retailer.

“We will save almost 130 tonnes of plastic every year with the changes we’ve made to the packaging. We are confident this initiative will be a huge success for our retailers,” McIlwham added.

The retailer expects that this initiative will contribute to a growth in sales of the already popular water range and confirm Spar’s commitment towards protecting the environment.
