Coop Switzerland’s own brand, Karma, has introduced a new milk alternative range that is lactose-free and contains herbal qualities.
The new range includes the Karma Barista Oat Drink, which foams easily, making it suitable for coffee creations. It also has a slightly nutty taste. The beverage is available in all Coop stores for CHF 2.95 (€2.63) per litre.
Moreover, customers can buy Karma’s chilled herbal Karma Coffee Almond Drink in a 250ml bottle for CHF 2.75 (€2.45).
Overall, Coop provides ten milk alternative SKUs – derived from soya, rice, almond, cashew and oat – which can be used for coffee, breakfast cereals, baking, and even milkshakes, the retailer reported.
The soya variety is rich in protein, while the cashew drink boasts a creamy, nutty taste.
