Jagodič New MD of Mondelez for East Adriatic Markets

Confectionery, food and beverage conglomerate Mondelez International has appointed Peter Jagodič as its new managing director in its East Adriatic Markets (EAM) region.

The EAM region comprises of Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro and Albania.

Jagodič, who will take over on 1 April, previously served as sales leader of the Serbian and Bosnian markets and company procurator.

He joined Mondelez International in 2009, as sales manager and director of the Slovenian market. With his Slovenian team, Jagodič increased the market share of Milka chocolates from 44 per cent to almost 57 per cent in 2014, launched the MDLZ biscuit brands and positioned them as a leading biscuit on the market after only three years. A

dditionally, he contracted new businesses, such as cooperation with hard discounter Aldi, and ended 2013 with a growth of net income by over 17 per cent.

After taking over the helm of sales in Serbia and Bosnia in 2014, Jagodič ended the year with an increase of net income in Serbia by almost 18 per cent.

He introduced major novelties, such as the launch of Crispello on the local market, arriving to a 21 per cent market share and, consequently, achieving the highest market share of biscuits in the previous period of 9.4 per cent.
