  • ORES (Origins of Spain), is organising the first Jamón Business Meeting – an international trade fair for the retail and foodservice sectors on 13, 14 and 15 April.

The virtual event aims to showcase the very best of Spanish charcuterie to operators in the retail and foodservice sectors across Europe.

ORES is the commercial branch of the cooked and cured foods division of the Vall Companys Group.

The trade fair aims to give international markets a closer insight into the finest cooked and cured products from Spain.

ORES offers more than 200 references under 12 brands, made from four Iberian, two Duroc, and large white breeds of pig.

The animals come from seven geographical regions famed for their long-standing tradition and leadership in pork production, such as Jabugo, Guijuelo, Teruel, Valdepeñas and Vic.

ORES will present its most recent innovations at the event, including formats that meet the needs of an increasingly diverse consumer base.

This includes the new EasyBox format with single servings. Each box contains five sachets of 50 grams, the ideal amount for daily consumption, hence avoiding food waste.

The packaging uses 28.8% less plastic and 74.4% less cardboard compared to the current format.

ORES enjoys total control over the quality and traceability of all its products.

These rigorous and exhaustive controls start in the genetics lab and continue from the breeding and raising of the animals to the cutting and packaging processes to guarantee optimum quality and food safety.

This virtual trade fair is set to become a key opportunity for exploring new lines of business and meeting the needs of consumers of charcuterie products, guaranteeing the time-honoured flavour, origin and quality in contemporary, practical and innovative formats.

To register for the event, click here before 23 March. The first 50 people to register will receive a Jamón Experience Pack with new products highlighting the latest innovations from ORES.
