Russia's Dixy Group Joins Bakery Supply Chain Agreement

Russian retailer Dixy Group has joined a 'Memorandum of Cooperation' between the Russian Guild of Bakers and Confectioners and ACORT, the Russian Retail Companies' Association.

The new three-way partnership intends to develop and carry out pilot projects, aimed at increasing the efficiency of the supply chain of bread and bakery products, as well as reducing the percentage of returned products even further, through direct communication between suppliers and retailers.

“Dixy is open for dialogue and joining the Memorandum will allow it to cement its cooperation with local partners,” said Denis Vasiliev, commercial director of Dixy Group.

Dixy Group is one of Russia’s leading retailers of food and goods, with 2,646 convenience stores, 116 Victoria supermarkets and 40 MegaMart and MiniMart hypermarkets. It operates across the Central, Northwestern, Volga, Ural and Kaliningrad regions of Russia.
