SPAR Sri Lanka Expands Own-Brand Offer

SPAR Sri Lanka has expanded its own-brand product range by sourcing through the group's global buying network.

The retailer has added more than fifty new private-brand products to add more variety to its assortment.

SPAR Sri Lanka is now offering more products sourced from SPAR International. These include the Italian range, the Taste the World range, and other cooking staples.

All own-brand products are easily identifiable through attractive in-store signage and dedicated display stands.

The range, offering both quality and value for money, is available in SPAR stores while stocks last.

Last year, SPAR Sri Lanka introduced the SPAR Natural organic range of products to offer a selection of healthier, more sustainable options to shoppers.

The range comprised Fair Trade products as well as items free from gluten, sugar, lactose.

Wider Product Range

The retailer added that customers considered wider product choices as a differentiator in the market.

The SPAR Natural section has emerged as a destination category for shoppers look for food items with specific dietary requirements and those that address food intolerances.

The addition of the SPAR Eco range of home cleaning production will help customers make more sustainable choices and reduce the retailer’s environmental impact.

The plant-based range contains readily biodegradable ingredients, enabling effective and thorough cleaning without using harmful or toxic ingredients.

In addition, it is allergen-free and ideal for people with sensitive skin.

SPAR focuses on local sourcing, and in Sri Lanka, it is complementing its internationally sourced private-label range with locally sourced goods.

It is planning to develop a range of locally produced products. and has collaborated with SPAR Oman to facilitate the export of Sri Lankan products to SPAR stores in Oman.
