In the retail sector energy efficiency today is on everybody’s lips. All equipment manufacturers display more and more impressive energy saving rates in their advertising messages. The German shop fitting expert Aichinger therefore decided to display the reality of a SIRIUS3 counter line performing in full daily operations at a German supermarket, EDEKA Schuler in a village called Dietenhofen, located close to Aichinger’s headquarters.
Under www.sirius3.de you now can see, at any moment and wherever you are, the relevant situative and functional data of the counter line SIRIUS3 with respective weekly, monthly and later on yearly trackings. The data is updated every four hours. In order to not falsify displayed data through the remaining supermarket equipment the SIRIUS®3 counter line has got its own multipack and its own electricity meter.
You can also come and see the SIRIUS®3 for yourself at the Euroshop trade event which starts this coming Sunday in Dusseldorf. Aichinger's stand is in Hall 13 – A75.
What data is displayed?
Counter related: Return air temperature per product category meat, cold cuts, deli, fish on crushed ice, smoked fish, cheese
Ambiance related: Ambiance and humidity inside the supermarket, ambiance and humidity outside the supermarket
Energy related: Energy consumption of the counter’s propriate multipack and average evaporation temperature of the multipack (t0)
Min/max temperature: HACCP regulations fix maximum temperatures per product category not to be exceeded. Exception made for short excesses due to defrost cycles or early morning equipping. On the other hand a fall below the category range (minimum temperature) would mean a waste of energy.
How is the data captured?
The SIRIUS®3 counter line is of 14.93 m length with a product display area of 12.63 sqm. The latest T3S probes by Wurm record return air temperatures at 36 measuring points. The FrigoData XP software by Wurm provides the data transfer to the server. The data recorded by the FrigoData system also are provided to the legally required HACCP trackings. In a usual serial counter you would have one probe per module, means at its best every meter in the smallest SIRIUS®3 modules.
What else?
Under www.sirius3.de you can find company profiles of our partners and a picture gallery of SIRIUS®3 installations. Especially important to Aichinger is the blog where valuable information exchange should take place. Just have a look …
Last but not least.
Special thanks should be given to the partners helping to realize this project and most important thanks to Günther SCHULER, owner of EDEKA Schuler in Dietenhofen, for a strong sign of confidence in SIRIUS®3 display counters by Aichinger.
