COVID-19: Arneg Gradually Resumes Production

Arneg, a leader in commercial refrigeration, is slowly resuming production in Italy while ensuring the health and safety of all stakeholders.

The COVID-19 emergency arrived suddenly and put the entire country on hold from 26 March, forcing the closure of all production activities deemed 'non-essential'.

Well aware of its responsibility towards the families of more than 700 employees, Arneg SpA duly halted production, despite the significance of its products in the grocery supply chain.

Immediately after the emergency was declared, Arneg chose to prioritise the health of its workforce, customers, suppliers, and stakeholders, in line with its founding values of always putting people first.

Resuming Production

Commencing 14 April, the company gradually resumed production activities while guaranteeing the safety of all collaborators and respecting the COVID Protocol established by local health authorities and agreed upon with workforce representatives.

“All those returning to work”, specified HR manager Armando De Crescenzo, “do so on a voluntary basis. Wherever possible, our office staff are continuing to work from home and all relevant safety measures are being respected for those coming into work.”

The safety measures include correct social distancing; the use of face masks and disinfectants; frequent cleaning of work areas; and extraordinary sanitation measures based on the cold spraying of bactericides and virucidal products.

Arneg recognises that hospitals and healthcare workers are in the front line fighting the pandemic and the company has donated €500,000 to a hospital in Padua to help fund local healthcare activities.
