Denmark’s Netto Completes Transformation Of 100 Stores To 'Netto 3.0'

Salling Group’s Netto retail chain has announced that it has renovated its 100th store to its Netto 3.0 store format.

The transformation project, which has seen several Netto stores adopting the new format, started a year ago.

'Stores Of The Future'

Braw Bakir, sales director at Netto, said, “We want to create discount stores of the future, and we want to make the stores more inviting and the shopping experience better.

“We have come a long way and are now making an important milestone with the first 100 stores that have been fully renovated and improved.”

The renovated stores feature new decor and uniforms for employees as well as an upgraded product assortment.

The retailer has allotted more space for fruit and vegetables and introduced individual sections for healthy and ready-to-eat meals, salads and juices.

'Quality Products'

Bakir added, “We have created a quieter store, which is characterised by a strong range of quality products at discount prices and great freshness. [...] We find that more and more customers want to shop with us in the new stores.”

With the opening of the 100th Netto 3.0 outlet, one-fifth of Netto stores in Denmark have now transformed to the new concept.

The retailer aims to complete the transformation of all stores to the new format within the next five years.
