Spanish retailer DIA has reached an agreement with Amazon to extend its online delivery service to the city of Barcelona and the surrounding areas.

The two retail companies are making the extension through the virtual store that La Plaza de DIA has on Amazon Prime Now. The move comes after the positive reception received for the service when it was implemented in Madrid.

Delivery Service

Customers in Barcelona can now choose from a total of 5,300 products in the Dia online store that will be open seven days a week from 8am until midnight.

Orders will be prepared at a DIA warehouse located in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, which is dedicated exclusively to online shoppers.

The Spanish retailer says that, thanks to Amazon’s fast delivery service, customers can receive deliveries in one hour or within two-hour delivery windows to their preferred location.

Members can shop online or download the Prime Now app, available on iOS and Android devices.
