Co-operative Mobile Offer Helps Boost Sales At Phone Co-op

A deal with the UK supermarket chain The Co-operative Group has helped boost sales for EE MVNO the Phone Co-op, it has been reported.

The Phone Co-op has revealed that mobile sales increased by over 31 per cent in the past year with mobile customers rising by over 20 per cent to under 12,000.

The UK supermarket retailer, the Co-operative Group, launched a Pay-As-You-Go MVNO service at its 3,800 Co-op stores in 2014.

Sim cards are now also available at independent co-operative societies around the UK.

As reported by Mobile Today, the Co-operative Business Telecoms - the business services arm of The Phone Co-op - offers competitively-priced mobile plans to its business customers e.g. solo bundles, shared bundles, Pay-As-You-Use tariffs.

In other recent Co-operative Group news, its board has announced the appointment of Allan Leighton as the first independent non-executive chairman under the reformed governance structure.

Leighton takes over from Ursula Lidbetter, who chaired the group since November 2013.
