Italian Grocery Retailer Launches First Interactive Flyer

Commerciale GiCap has become the first grocery retailer in Italy to launch an interactive digital flyer.

The company, part of Italy’s VéGé Group retail consortium, is active in Messina and its provinces, with 80 stores operating under the Quiconviene and Sidis banners.

In January, it became the first grocery retailer in Sicily and the region to have activated an e-commerce platform.

Developed in collaboration with RisparmioSuper/Restore, and with the full support of VéGé Group, the interactive digital flyer, described as a service that further simplifies online shopping, is fully integrated into the company's e-commerce platform.

By visiting QuiConviene.it or the website of Commerciale GiCap, consumers can not only conduct their shopping online and receive it at home, but also browse the flyer to avail of weekly promotions. Once selected, the chosen article automatically ends up in the virtual shopping cart.

According to the director of sales of Commerciale GiCap, Giovanni Capone, the online shopping service has been received with enthusiasm by customers, with the results in the first two months of operation “exceeding even the most optimistic forecasts”.
