Micasa Acquires Six Migros-Owned Interio Outlets

Swiss retailer Migros has announced that it has divested six of its Interio furniture outlets to Micasa.

Owned by the XXXLutz Group from Austria, Micasa will operate the six outlets under the mömax brand.

Micasa will retain around 200 employees from the stores and the remaining 100 employees will be employed within or outside the Migros Group, the retailer said in a statement.

Focus On Strategic Business

The decision to separate Migros from all 11 Interio stores is part of the retailer's strategy to focus on its core strategic business and online trading.

The retailer is negotiating with other parties for its remaining outlets. Migros expects to complete the handover by September 2020.
