Nestlé Joins New Plastics Economy As Core Partner

Food giant Nestlé has announced that it has joined Ellen MacArthur Foundation's New Plastics Economy initiative as one of the core partners.

The initiative aims to bring together leading businesses to rethink and redesign the future of plastics, with a key focus on packaging.

Walmart and Borealis have also joined nine other leading businesses as core partners of the initiative.

'An Important Catalyst'

Global head of sustainable packaging at Nestlé, Véronique Cremades-Mathis, said, "The New Plastics Economy initiative represents an important catalyst on the journey to achieving a circular economy for plastics, and we are pleased to be able to contribute to this work through our expanded role as a core partner.

"At Nestlé, we don't want any of our packaging, including plastics, to become waste or pollution."
