Ocado Tests One-Hour Grocery Delivery Service

British online grocer Ocado is conducting the trial of its new one-hour grocery delivery service, reports news portal Retail Gazette.

The new service, Ocado Zoom, is being tested in West London and is powered by same-day delivery platform Stuart.

With the new service, customers can now expect delivery of their online orders within 60 minutes.

Small Order Sizes

The one-hour delivery service was announced in February of this year, with the aim of catering to small order sizes.

Ocado chief executive Tim Steiner insisted that the move was not in response to Amazon’s Prime Now service.

Recently, Ocado announced a tie-up with M&S, in which the service was first mentioned, the report noted.
