Tesco Czech Republic is expanding its online business, including the roll-out of its Click & Collect service.
The Britain-based retailer has observed that transaction size in its Czech online grocery business is about five times higher than in-store purchases, with an average of 80 items purchased. As a result, it has expanded its e-commerce capacity in the country by 40 per cent in the past six months, and will broaden its geographic coverage for its online customers.
Tesco's popular Click & Collect is also to be introduced across more of the nation's cities following a successful trial at a hypermarket in Mladé Boleslavi. (14 Jan)
