Tesco UK To Sell Euphorium Bakeries

Tesco UK has announced it is selling off its Euphorium bakeries, BBC has reported. Soho Coffee is to take over Euphorium's high-street shops and its Islington factory, while its Weybridge factory will be run by Samworth Brothers.

The company has already sold several businesses, including Dobbies Garden Centres, restaurant chain Giraffe and the Harris & Hoole coffee shops.

The in-store Euphorium bakeries will now be run by Tesco, which has promised to offer the current bakery staff the opportunity to join the Tesco team.

A spokesperson for Tesco commented: "We know how important a great bakery offer is to our customers, and this agreement will mean we can continue to serve shoppers with great quality Tesco bakery products."
