UK newspaper The Sun is to join the myWaitrose newspaper offer, whereby shoppers who spend £5 or more (or £10 at weekends) can collect a free newspaper in-supermarket.
In joining the plan, to which the Guardian, The Daily Mail, The Times, and The Telegraph have already subscribed, the first tabloid to feature will expect to see a doubling of sales in Waitrose supermarkets, it has been estimated.
The aforementioned publications’ weekend or Sunday editions also feature in the offer. Shoppers must be in possession of a myWaitrose loyalty card to avail of the scheme.
