Nestlé Half-Year Report 2016

Nestlé reports good growth on volume, with margin improvement, according to its half-year report for 2016.

Paul Bulcke, Nestlé CEO, has stated that the results for the first half of 2016 are as expected by the Swiss retailer.

He has commented that despite “challenges in China, we enjoyed good performances across the US, Europe, South East Asia and Latin America and expect this to continue into the second half.

“We also expect pricing, which reached historically low levels in the first half, to recover somewhat in the coming months.”

The CEO, said that gross margins and trading operation profits grew “through further premiumisation, continuous cost discipline and input cost tailwinds”.
