Two New Lenta Supermarkets Open In Siberia

Russian supermarket giant Lenta has announced the opening of two new stores in Barnaul and Kemerovo in Siberia.

The stores will be open seven days a week from 8:ooam to 11:00pm.

The new stores will offer a wide range of Lenta’s private labels and federal products as well as local produce.

Recently, the retail giant posted a 4.8% increase in like-for-like sales in the first half of its financial year, posting sales of RUB 193.2 billion (€2.43 billion) for the period.

A Wide Range Of Options

The store in Barnaul is a Lenta supermarket spread across an area of 791 square metres with 392 square metres of selling space.

The product assortment, comprising of 3,600 SKUs, will cater specifically to the needs of residents of Barnaul. The property is owned by Lenta and has four cash registers.

The store in Kemerovo is larger with a total area of 1,629 square metres, and 1,050 square metres of selling space.

The product assortment in this eight cash register supermarket comprises of 8,700 SKUs. This property is leased by Lenta and has 150 parking spaces.

These two supermarkets are the twenty-second and twenty-third new Lenta stores to be launched in 2018 .

Lenta now has 233 hypermarkets in 84 cities across Russia, and 118 supermarkets in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Siberia, Urals and the Central region.
