Bakkavor, the UK fresh foods manufacturer, has announced that it has agreed to sell its Belgian freshly prepared food business, Vaco, to Culinor Food Group.
Bakkavor employs over 18,000 people globally and produces over 5,000 products in 18 different categories. Culinor is a Belgian producer of fresh prepared goods, which it distributes to food-service operatives and retailers across Belgium.
CEO of Bakkavor Group, Agust Gudmundsson said, “This sale marks further progress for the Group, as we focus on our core strategic growth markets of the UK, US and Asia.”
The sale is expected to be finalised by early Autumn.
