La Linea Verde Reports Turnover Of €300 Million In 2018

Italian fresh-cut vegetables and ready meal producer La Linea Verde ended 2018 with an estimated turnover of €300 million, representing growth of 26% on the previous year, reports Il Sole 24 Ore.

The positive performance was driven by the group’s stronger penetration in European markets, as well as by the acquisition of the Naturvega factory in the Navarre region and the development of new greenhouses for crops in Spain.

La Linea Verde has also opened a new production site for fresh-cut products in Serbia.

At the same time, work continues on the enlargement of the company's headquarters in Italy, located in Manerbio, near Brescia.

As well as structural investments, the group is investing in human capital. In 2018, its employee count increased by 14%.
