Russian retail group X5 has announced the opening of its 11,000th store in the country. The new outlet is a Perekrestok supermarket, located in the Istrinsky district of Moscow.

It operates a number of retail formats, including proximity stores under the Pyaterouchka brand, Perekrestok supermarkets, Karusel hypermarkets, and Express convenience stores.
Last month, the group posted a 27.5% increase in revenue for the second quarter of the year, with sales tolling RUB 320,801 million.
