Italian Food Exports Up 3% Compared To Last Year

Italian food exports reached a high of €24.5 billion in the year to August 2016, growing more than 3% compared to  2015.

According to foreign trade data published by national institute ISTAT,  grocery exports touched €3 billion in August, which is 12% higher than the same month the last year.

According to Minister Maurizio Martina, this goal has been achieved by the business community with the support of the Government.

Two years ago, Prime Minister Renzi launched a plan for the internationalisation of the Made in Italy promotional message.
