Mimosa Dairy Products Is Portugal's Favourite FMCG Brand: Study
For the sixth year in a row, Portuguese dairy company Mimosa has emerged as the most popular FMCG brand among consumers in the country, according to Kantar's Brand Footprint global report.
The study measures the number of times customers bought FMCG brands, how many households bought each brand, and the number of times the brand was bought in a year.
Products of the Mimosa brand, owned by Portuguese food products company Lactogal, were purchased 34 million times, the study found.
Two other Lactogal dairy products brands were part of the top 10 list – Gresso ranked second while Agros emerged in the ninth position.
Other Top Performers
Juice brand, Compal, occupied the third position on the list, while other brands that made it to the top 10 include deli meat seller, Nobre, Delta coffee, Terra Nostra dairy products, Milaneza pasta, Renova paper goods, and Colgate.
In terms of Consumer Reach Points (CRP), Dan Up registered the highest growth of 50%, climbing 26 positions in the rankings to occupy 38th position.
While most names in the top 50 list were food and beverage brands, Colgate and Nivea ranked 10th and 13th respectively, while in the home care category, Renova, Cif, Fairy, Sonasol, and Comfort were named among the top 50 brands.
Kantar Brand Footprint is an annual study based on 72% of the world's population across 49 countries.
It monitors over 21,400 brands in beverages, food, dairy, health and beauty, and household cleaning.
