Haribo Selects BEC For Warehouse Management Technology

Fruit gums and liquorice manufacturer Haribo has selected BEC to supply its data capture solutions for supply chain logistics and manufacturing.

Having previously used a paper-based system to record goods in, internal stock movements, stock counting and picking, Haribo wanted to find a system that offered improved inventory accuracy and visibility, which in turn would improve purchasing and manufacturing planning.

Haribo chose BEC to automate the warehouse facility, seamlessly integrating the new solution into its M3 ERP system.  BEC offers a proven warehousing solution and flexible approach to design.

Haribo chose the Honeywell CK3X mobile computers in conjunction with BEC’s eSmart Warehouse software to capture and record data for the mission-critical applications, in order to help reduce inventory inaccuracies, improve upon efficiency, maximise throughput and streamline overall business processes.

Philip Jarrett, director of sales & marketing at BEC, said: “We are looking forward to further extending the project in the future to include additional scanning transactions within the factory.”
