Smartbox Group Names Olivier Faujour Its New CEO

Smartbox Group, a pioneer and European leader in gift experiences, has announced the appointment of Olivier Faujour as its new chief executive officer.

With Smartbox Group currently operating in 11 European countries, the decision to appoint Faujour was driven by its mission to expand internationally and strengthen its leadership position.

An Industry Veteran

53-year-old Faujour is an industry veteran and has extensive experience in building FMCG premium brands at a global level.

He earned an MBA from ESCP Europe, and began his career in the marketing department of Procter & Gamble, where he worked for 12 years across Europe and Latin America.

He then held various senior management positions at Danone, notably in Asia for seven years, before joining General Mills in 2010.

Under his leadership, General Mills successfully achieved Yoplait’s acquisition goals and expanded to new countries, such as China and Brazil.

For the past three years, he served as General Mill’s CEO for the brands Yoplait and Häagen-Dazs at a global level, across all channels, including selective distribution and online.

Commenting on the appointment, Faujour said, "I’m delighted and honoured to lead Smartbox Group. The gift experience market is inspiring and still has a strong growth potential across the world."
