Echo Falls has released an alcohol-free sparkling drink which will be available at Tesco.
The ‘Echo Falls Tisane’ offers consumers an alternative to alcohol, is made from fermented white grape juice. The drink has been in development for a number of years and the recipe has been formulated over three years.
It does not use yeast, thus preventing alcohol from developing, while the tea infusion adds tannins and structure to the taste profile.
The flavour profile of this new drink has been the brainchild of Two Dogs founder Dave Pahl, who notes. "Tisane fills a genuine consumer demand delivering an authentic taste experience without any alcohol. It fits comfortably within the repertoire of someone who enjoys an alcoholic beverage but is sometimes looking for a socially inclusive non-alcoholic alternative and also for those who choose not to consume alcohol."
Amy White, marketing director at Echo Falls said, “Releasing a no-alcohol drink under the Echo Falls label is an exciting departure for the brand, which comes straight after Echo Falls’ Fruit Fusions range launched so successfully."
She continued, "Our research shows one in three shoppers claiming to spend £10-£15 per month on non-alcoholic alternatives, and so this is becoming an increasingly valuable area of the market. Coupled with increasing demand for lower sugar and low calorie drinks – the sparkling infusion has just 26 calories per 100ml – we see a real opportunity to drive this burgeoning category.”
