Joanne Denney-Finch To Step Down As Chief Executive Of IGD
IGD, the UK-based training and research charity for the food and grocery industry, has announced that its chief executive Joanne Denney-Finch OBE is stepping down from her position later this year.
Denney-Finch, who has led the organisation for over 20 years, plans to depart IGD in September 2018.
'A Landmark Year'
“Last year was a landmark year for me, marking 20 years in my tenure as chief executive at IGD," she said.
“It has, however, been my ambition for some time to explore a number of different opportunities in both my professional and personal life in the future and these require more time than I presently have working full time."
Denney-Finch added that IGD is in "an excellent position for the future", and so it is the right time to take the next step in her career.
IGD says that it has begun the search for her successor.
ESM has worked closely with Denney-Finch and her team since our formation some eight years ago, and consider her both a distinguished business leader and a dear friend.
We wish her all the best for the future.
