Auchan Looks To Invest In Vietnam

Auchan is to invest $500 million (€380 million) in Vietnam within the next 10 years.

Group managing director Philippe Longuet last week announced the French retailer's entry into the southeast Asian market, according to local press. It is expected that Auchan will also expand its offer of Vietnamese products in its other markets.

Last year, retail sales of goods and services in Vietnam showed growth of 16 per cent, with the market expected to grow by 10 per cent annually in the coming years. (7 May)
