Belgian retail group Colruyt is to take over seven stores from the ailing chain frozen food retailer O'Cool. The Colruyt group is to convert four of the stores to its Spar Retail banner, with a two changing to DreamBaby, with the remaining store taking on the Bio-Planet banner.
"The seven sites are very carefully chosen, according to where these store formats are not already so the Colruyt Group can further refine its network of retail formats," said Filip Van Landeghem, deputy director expansion of Colruyt Group.
On 30 October it was announced that Carrefour Belgium is to take over 13 branches from the O'Cool chain. (30 Nov)
