Sugar manufacturer Nordzucker has announced plans to open a new business services centre in Lithuania, which will be responsible for a number of administrative processes across the group.

The new facility, Nordzucker Business Services, will be based in Kaunas, which is located around 50 kilometres away from the firms sugar plant in Kedainiai.

Kaunas was chosen as the location of the facility following a ‘comprehensive location assessment’ according to Nordzucker.

Drive Efficiency

"The new legal entity, Nordzucker Business Services, will offer a portfolio of services across our group entities, and enables us to drive efficiency and consistency in our processes,” commented Alexander Bott, Chief Financial Officer at Nordzucker.

Nordzucker operates a total of 18 production and refinery facilities, and employs 3,200 people.
