TUTTOFOOD Sees Visitor Numbers Up At 2019 Edition

  • The seventh edition of TUTTOFOOD, which concluded last week, welcomed 82,551 visitors, which was 3% up on the previous edition.

    Some 21% of attendees were from outside Italy, with 143 different countries represented, including new markets in Central America, the Middle East and North Africa.

    In addition, the show welcomed a total of 3,079 Italian and international exhibitors from 43 countries.

    International Hub

    This year's TUTTOFOOD welcomed Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte and of the Minister of Agriculture, Food, Forestry and Tourism Gian Marco Centinaio, underlining its importance as an international hub for the Italian agri-food industry.

    In terms of attendee numbers, the top ten markets outside Italy that were represented at the show included the USA, Spain, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, China, Canada, the Benelux, Japan and the Russian Federation.


    There were also more than 1,414 accredited Italian and foreign journalists in attendance, as well as 325 bloggers.

    TUTTOFOOD 2019 played host to more than 250 'side events' including events dedicated to blockchain, retail and food intelligence, which were well attended, the organisers explained.

    Some of the main food trends being explored at the event included superfoods, nutrition and sustainability.

    The eighth edition of TUTTOFOOD will take place at fieramilano from 17 to 20 May 2021.
