Aldi Süd Introduces Online Lottery Service
Aldi Süd has introduced an online lottery service in collaboration with several state-licensed lotteries on its website.
Punters now can buy lottery tickets around the clock for ‘Lotto6aus49’, ‘EuroJackpot’, ‘GlücksSpirale’, ‘Zusatzlotterie Spiel 77’ and ‘Zusatzlotterie SUPER6’ at aldi-lotto.de.
The service runs through the Lottowelt AG online gambling platform interface, which passes on the tickets to the different lotteries.
In addition to the website, the company has launched an Aldi lottery app. In order to avail of this service, customers have to register and confirm they are over 18 years old. Afterwards, they can purchase a ticket and fill it out in the app.
Online Lottery Advantages
The price of an Aldi lottery ticket starts at 20c per ticket, the cheapest in Germany, according to the retailer. Aldi Süd adds that the 24/7 availability via online channels will be convenient for customers too, compared to buying a ticket at a brick-and-mortar kiosk.
“Thanks to the state license of Lottowelt AG and the fulfilment of the strict legal requirements, we have made our online lottery as safe as buying a ticket at a physical kiosks - only easier and cheaper,” said Vittorio Rotondo, responsible for Aldi services at Aldi Süd. “Being able to hand in tickets around the clock, as well as receiving notifications by email and automatic payout of winnings are just some of the benefits of our service.”
