Staay Food Group has reached an agreement with fellow Dutch company Fruitbedrijf J.C. Vernooij Ltd on the takeover of its activities. The activities, which consist of sourcing, logistics and marketing of fruit, will be added to the activities of Frupaks Fruit from Deil. They have been part of the Staay Food Group since 2010.
Fruitbedrijf J.C. Vernooij Ltd and Frupaks Fruit Ltd will continue under the new name Frupaks - Vernooij Ltd starting the 1st of April, and will oversee their activities from Deil. The move of Fruitbedrijf J.C. Vernooij Ltd's departments of commerce and operations to Deil will take place in May 2013. The location in Vleuten will be used as a logistics centre.
This takeover will create a company that, with a turnover level of around €100 million, will have enough support to manifest itself professionally.
Areas of attention such as product development, international sourcing and marketing need a larger scale operation nowadays to be implemented successfully.
Joop Vernooij will join the management of Frupaks - Vernooij Ltd, which will consist of Herman Van Rooijen, Jacob van der Linden en Joop Vernooij, along with a Staay Food Group representative. The takeover will have no negative consequences for employment.
