Absolut Vodka, the spirit company which places a high emphasis on its packaging, has launched Andy Warhol inspired bottles.
The artwork was originally commissoned by Absolut from Warhol around 1986, sparking a trend that has seen many artists create artwork for the brand over the years.
The bottles will feature pop art in the form of colourful lettering on a black background and will initially be available in Harvey Nichols and Selfridges stores in the UK from the start of October. A wider rollout around the world will begin next March.
The bottles will also come with cocktail recipes and will be launched alsonside the Andy Warhol Art Exchange which will allow consumers to submit pieces of digital art and receive art in exchange. A share of the profits from the bottles will go to the Andy Warhol Foundatuion which issues grants to support contemporary art. The launch of the bottles will also be supported by an extensive advertising campaign with the theme "Make The Holidays Pop."
