Branding agency Supperstudio has won two prizes at the Pentawards 2014, the first and only international contest devoted exclusively to packaging design. The design of Eroski-branded products was singled out for an award in the 'Best Own-Brand Designs over the Entire Range' category.
In addition, the Eroski range of children’s cereals was specifically picked out for a silver medal in the Food-Distributors/Retailers category. The prize winners were announced at a gala awards dinner in Tokyo.
The Pentawards, now in their eighth year, are one of the most prestigious international prizes in the world of packaging. An international jury of 13 experts in container and packaging design from Europe, America and the Asia-Pacific region acknowledged Supperstudio's work in the FMCG sector and the creative quality of its designs.
Paco Adin, creative director of Supperstudio, added, "It is an honour that internationally, our designs and the creativity of our work are recognised. These awards help us further strengthen our vision of packaging and telling something different in each of our designs. In the case of the winning projects, we invest in developing an optimistic and innovative packaging, which seeks the participation and interaction with consumers."
Martin Gandiaga, Eroski’s Marketing Manager stated “The award recognises Eroski for providing the fullest information through clear and direct packaging, easily understood by the consumer to facilitate more responsible shopping, by applying the criteria of healthy eating and environmental sustainability.”
