Printpack has developed triplex film stick packs for Aimia Foods’ powder products, for brands including Weight Watchers and Galaxy. Aimia Foods had experienced problems with faulty and leaking stick packs caused by dry powder contamination in the seal which the packaging company has recitified with the new triplex film with a speciality polyethylene sealant layer for the new packs.
Printpack’s Europe key account manager Ian Thorne said the production of the new packaging at Printpack's facility in Kutno, Poland is key, “Producing the packaging at Kutno means that Aimia Foods Limited can rely on security of supply, and because finished stocks are held locally the real lead time is now forty eight hours compared to five to six weeks.” (26 Sept)
