Asda Invites Young Shoppers To Join Its In-Store Halloween Hunt

Walmart-owned supermarket chain Asda is inviting young shoppers to join its Halloween hunt, with activities involving hand-held devices taking place in selected stores.

Children will be given a hand-held smart device with the Zappar app to take part in the Halloween hunt.

Children are asked to help catch escapees Fang and Fangle in Asda's hunt. They will be given clue sheets to guide them around the store and masks with 'Monster Vision' to help them spot Fang and Fangle hidden in Asda's red reveal floor stickers. On finding Fang and Fangle and completing the hunt, children will be given a membership card for the Spook Squad.

Using the hand-held smart device with the Zappar app, kids will be able to zap their augmented-reality mask, which will transform them into either Sir Spook or George-ina. Kids can also use the Spook Swap function to switch between characters.

Asda will be giving out stickers with zap codes, which can be used to create a Halloween hunt at home.

The event takes place in selected Asda stores on Saturday 25 October between 10am and 4pm.
