Coop Alleanza 3.0 Opens New Store In Gorizia

Italian retailer Coop Alleanza 3.0 has opened its second supermarket in Gorizia, in the north-eastern region of Friuli, according to Gdoweek.

The Coop Gorizia Mercato outlet, realised with an investment of €3.7 million, is spread over an area of 890 square metres and employs 14 staff.

Store Features

Inside the store, there is a bakery and counters for delicatessen items, meat and fish. The fruit and vegetable area offers local and organic produce, while the wine cellar provides a selection of beer and wine.

Additionally, the outlet offers Coop private label lines such as Fior Fiore and Vivi Verde.

The building is environmentally sustainable, and has been fitted with LED lights, closed fridges and freezers, solar panels, heating, air-conditioning, and air-recirculating system.

Coop Alleanza 3.0 is currently undergoing an expansion plan. The company, which was set up in January 2016 following the merger of regional cooperatives Coop Adriatica, Coop Consumatori Nordest and Coop Estense, reported sales of €4.7 billion in its first financial year.
