Drinks giant Coca-Cola has appointed James Quincey, the current president for the European business, to the role of president and COO.

Senior management in Coca-Cola’s international businesses, and the bottling investments unit, will now report to him.

The COO role has been vacant for the past seven years.

In other news, Coca-Cola has announced that Ahmet Bozer, president of Coca-Cola International, is set to retire.

He will remain on in an advisory role until March of next year.
