Uvasdoce is to promote measures to encourage children to get into the habit of eating fruit, at this year’s edition of Fruit Attraction, scheduled from 22 to 24 October at the IFEMA exhibition centre in Madrid.
To achieve its goals, the table grape producer has introduced the fruit in 200-gram cardboard boxes that are washable and easy to carry.
Since the beginning of September, the new grape boxes are being marketed in supermarkets such as Alcampo.
Each grape box carries a collectible piece of puzzle featuring a QR code, which, upon scanning, unlocks a new character in an educational video game developed by Uvasdoce, A Toda Uva.
A Toda Uva, which can be downloaded on Android and Apple devices, features the Las Imprescindibles de Uvasdoce characters.
The company has also set up a section on its website where customers can download interesting educational materials, as well as pictures of the Las Imprescindibles characters.
At this year’s Fruit Attraction, Uvasdoce will occupy more exhibition space than in previous years, while visitors can also try out the A Toda Uva video game.
This season, the company will comprise predominantly Apirena grape varieties, working with less than 10% of its total volume in traditional varieties.
