Tesco Opens Second Food-to-Go Concept Store

After receiving positive feedback on its first 'food-to-go' concept store in London, Tesco has launched a second concept store in the British capital.

The store's range includes over 50 types of sandwiches, pre-packed sushi, hot food-to-go items, snacks and drinks and is geared towards tourists and nearby office workers.

The new concept store also includes a Burrito Kitchen - a mexican fast food concept developed by Tim Stillwell, a former contestant on The Apprentice.

Both concept stores are equipped with slimline checkouts that allow for contactless payment, enabling customers to pay and leave within seconds, according to IGD Retail Analysis.

"Both stores, located in the heart of London, are a great example of how we are providing the products and services that meet the shopping needs of our customers,” a Tesco spokeswoman told City A.M. on Tuesday.

"These stores offer a wide range of items ideal for tourists and busy commuters on the move and feature the latest technology to help make the shopping trip quick and easy."
